Only one type of event each place?[edit]

I have not done systematic observations, but it seems to me like each spot each have only one type of the events listed, or if not maybe only few types of the listed events? —MortenOSlash (talk) 08:20, 18 May 2015 (GMT)

Many sources suggest that Keeper of the Flame, A Bandit's Heart and Golden Palms share locations, dark fissures I think are completely separate. It's possible that at least some of the others share locations with each other, but probably not with any of the first four. --Enodoc (talk) 08:46, 18 May 2015 (GMT)
So the Dark Fissures could well be placed in a separate page? Is the classification of Dark Fissures done by the devs at Zenimax or is it a UESP classification? If the last, should we consider taking it out of the page and give it a separate page? —MortenOSlash (talk) 09:43, 18 May 2015 (GMT)
They already have a page of their own, but the intention of this page is to list all scripted events that give a set amount of XP on completion, and I think "scripted events" is a dev classification. What does need to be checked though is whether all of those on this page actually give that set amount of XP. --Enodoc (talk) 10:30, 18 May 2015 (GMT)

Transclude?[edit]

The world events with separate pages should probably be transcluded. —Legoless (talk) 18:15, 5 June 2015 (UTC)

I agree.  ~Shuryard (talk) 21:11, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
Yeah that would probably make sense. Alternatively, we could nix any separate pages (I think Dark Fissure is the only one?) and set it as a redirect to here instead. --Enodoc (talk) 22:16, 5 June 2015 (UTC)

Possible addition[edit]

This might be a world event, but it seems way too common. Very often, mostly around Rivenspire (as a Covenant player), a dark cloud appears and a few Dremora (all around level 25) show up. Once they're defeated, an Ogrim and a Banekin come out of the cloud. After killing them, the portal closes. Can anyone verify what exactly this is if it's not a world event? Schiffy(Talk) 22:05, 5 August 2015 (UTC)

NOTE: It actually happened twice in a row in the same place. Slightly northeast of the Shadow Stone in Rivenspire. After I finished typing my previous findings, I alt+tab'ed back into the game and it happened again, but with different enemies. Schiffy(Talk) 22:08, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
That's a Dark Fissure, which is already noted. Vicano (talk) 22:18, 5 August 2015 (UTC)

Separate section for the Craglorn one too?[edit]

As the Wrothgar events have gotten a separate section, it could be reason to give a separate section to the Craglorn only event too, even if Celestial Rifts is the only one.

It seems a bit untidy if only one zone with zone specific is sectioned out, and other section specific events are kept with the alliance zone events. As far as I have observed the alliance zone events do not happen in Craglorn either, so they are also mutually exclusive between the zones.

Further, it is quite possible there might be even more zone specific events later on with more zones too. —MortenOSlash (talk) 08:52, 27 February 2016 (UTC)

Seems like a good idea to split them that way. —Legoless (talk) 12:52, 27 February 2016 (UTC)

Change Page Name to Encounters[edit]

The template asking about this has been on the page for ages but no actual discussion. So, how about we change the page name to Online:Encounters? For one thing not as confusing as having Online:World Events and Online:Events. Also the conversation above does make a good point about splitting the pages more and having this as a hub page--Talyyn (talk) 16:42, 20 June 2020 (UTC)

Well the change went through with wiki magic and so this topic is closed.--Talyyn (talk) 09:23, 21 June 2020 (UTC)

Splitting Encounters into more pages[edit]

Looking at the sheer size of the table of contents, would it be good to move them into separate pages, maybe by releases and use this page as the hub?--Talyyn (talk) 09:23, 21 June 2020 (UTC)

Sounds like a good idea. Some of these have (or were intended to have) their own pages anyway, like Dark Fissures, Celestial Rifts and Abyssal Pools. That would go for anything that has a bit more of an active involvement on the part of the player. --Enodoc (talk) 17:31, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
